DEVONPORT CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL

(Over two days of 29 & 30th of December each year.)

Location: Devonport Oval

Closing Date: 24th November 2012

Photos & Results Day 1 Photos & Results Day 2

Devonport Carnival is the biggest carnival of the "Big Three" Christmas Carnivals in terms of crowd numbers and athletes entered although Burnie still offers more Prize money. This has been brought about by an energetic Committee with plenty of vision who have endeavored to attract elite athletes and other attractions to their Carnival such Pole vaulting, Fire eating and balancing acts. Devonport is the only carnival that has equal money for men and women.

Devonport is on the central north coast of Tasmania and is the sea-road connection with the mainland with its own airport and community bus services. The Devonport Visitor Centre caters for all visitor needs and can be contacted on (03) 6424 4466 or e-mail tourism@devonport.tas.gov.au
